Magna Cum Laude
I am the son of Dwight and Janice Gross who have lived in Madison County since 1965. I have been married to Beth Hutto Gross for 30 years, and we have two children, Mary Beth Boyett and Will Gross. My wife, Beth, works at the Huntsville Cardiovascular Clinic. My daughter, Mary Beth, is a teacher at Walnut Grove Elementary School and my son, Will, works for the Madison County Water Department as an Equipment Operator. We have one grandchild, Hudson Boyett who is one year old.
Before I went to Law School I worked for the Madison County Department of Human Resources working in the food stamp office. During that time I was the Alabama State Employees Representative for the food stamp office of the Madison County Department of Human Resources.
While I was in Law School I worked for Professor Gamble, Professor Hoff and the law firm of Hubbard, Reynolds and McIlwain. After law school I moved to Andalusia, where I worked for the law firms of Tipler & Tipler and Enzor & Enzor. During the time I worked for Enzor & Enzor I was the assistant city attorney for the City of Andalusia.
In 1998, my family and I moved back to Huntsville and in 2000 I began working for Ables, Baxter, Parker & Hall. In 2007, I started my own law practice and I have been practicing on my own since that time.
I have over 20 years of practice experience in Probate Court matters, handling just about every type of case that the Probate Court handles, including mental commitments, administration of estates, guardian/conservatorships, step-parent adoptions, and name changes. I am one of only six attorneys who file mental commitments in Madison County.
I also have experience in other areas of Probate, including doing title searches in the records room, recording documents, and elections matters. I was an Inspector for the Plainview Church of Christ election precinct for eight years.
I was the President of the Hazel Green Elementary PTA for two years. I also serve as a pastor. I served as the pastor for Hurricane Grove Baptist Church in New Market, Alabama and I am currently serving as the pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church in Ardmore, Alabama.
